Yes! We’re proud to say that the folks at Red Lion Hotels are on board as a lodging supporter for our “Fabric of America” tour. They will be supporting us for a number of stays as we travel through the western portion of the U.S.
In case you haven’t read about our tour: You can read about it here, read about sponsorships here, and support our project yourself right here.
This is an introductory post about Red Lion Hotels. We will be reviewing the properties we stay in throughout our journey, which wouldn’t be possible without them (and you).
Red Lion is a Spokane, Washington-based hotel chain that started over 70 years ago as a property-management and development company, and now has properties throughout the western portion of the United States, with 52 hotels in 10 states.
Red Lion Hotels are full-service properties, with restaurants, pools, fitness centers, and more. Not to mention high-speed internet and work spaces, which will keep us able to work as well as able to show you all the great things we find at their properties and in surrounding areas. In addition, they are entirely pet-friendly, which we all know Louis appreciates!
Their former tag line is “Stay Comfortable,” so it’s only right that they have some of the most plush bedding in the industry, which will keep us sleeping soundly and ready to pounce each morning when we wake up.
Check out this road trip ad from Red Lion. Now imagine the Firedbird as a Prius, the kids as Louis, and the couple as us. Et voilá!
In a world of often-humdrum hotels that can easily look and feel the same, Red Lion stands out with unique properties that showcase each hotel’s home turf and make every guest feel as though they are truly special – something which every lodging company should strive for. This makes it easy to see why their new tag line is, “Friendly service. Locally inspired.”
Quite a few Red Lion properties earned 2013 Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor, which we all know isn’t an easy thing to accomplish. On top of that, the hotel was ranked third in overall satisfaction for mid-scale, full-service hotels by the JD Power 2012 North America Hotel Ratings.
If you want to boost your travel experience, join their Red Lion R&R Club to earn points on each stay. Platinum and Gold members get free stays for their pets as well as free breakfast for up to four people. Free pet stays, free breakfast – that’s what we’re talkin’ about!
In addition, Red Lion is currently running their Viva Las Villa sweepstakes. Four very lucky folks will win a trip for four to Las Vegas, including airfare and three nights in the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Not only that, but it’s three nights in the 5,000-square foot villa on the 30th floor of the hotel. Whoa! You’re automatically entered when you book a stay through September 30 of this year. Read more about it and get in on the action right here.
We’re ecstatic that Red Lion has been so kind as to come along as a lodging supporter for the tour, and we look forward to sharing more about their properties as we drive throughout the American West. Join them on Facebook and Twitter, and be sure to check out their website to see more about each Red Lion property and to book rooms for your own trip!
