Greetings from Tucson! When we were in the U.S. not too long ago, we flew out to Arizona to visit Ang’s parents. We don’t see them very often as they don’t travel a lot and we rarely get out to Arizona, so it was nice to spend some quality time with them in the desert for a few days.
We didn’t do a whole lot as we were there specifically to see Umma and Appa, but we did get around here and there, and have some pictures to share.
Welcome to Tucson, where the airport looked totally deserted. Weird for us, as we’re used to the unfortunate and stressful chaos of airports in places like Chicago and Frankfurt.
Say hi to Umma and Appa! It sure was nice to spend some quality time with them.
Umma made plenty of delicious Korean food for us, which was very much appreciated as we rarely get it in most places we travel.
Ang and Umma, hanging out and laughing.
We also went out one day ito check out the Tohono Chul botanical gardens, but mostly just sat inside in the bistro, talking and spending time together as the heat was blistering. Umma wanted to check out the tea room here, which had changed to a restaurant since last time she was there. Too bad, but whaddya gonna do.
One other thing we made sure to do in Tucson was to check out some of its great breweries. We do this purely out of love, and you can check out more of our beer adventures on Hopsmash.
And Dillinger Brewing Company…
We “only” had time to visit three breweries in Tucson, but there are plenty more and we will be back!
Downtown Tucson is also a lot more vibrant than it used to be, and it’s nice to see that they’re encouraging and allowing outdoor art there now. Loving this piece by the great Fin DAC.
And that’s about it! Might as well add some other photos I’m feeling before we go! :)
See you next time!
Be sure to check out our other USA posts right here.
A very special and very big thanks to all the fine people of Tucson, to all the brewery folks who welcomed us, and to our family for always being so welcoming and loving.

Tucson seems different every time we go! Love the pictures, especially the one of Ang and her mom. So cute! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah it was better than last time we were there! Haha and yes, she and her mom are super cute. Thanks for reading! :)
