Hey all! More fun from glorious Portugal! We’ve previously visited Praia do Amado, but we went back recently with the family, keeping the tour-guide-for-all-our-friends-who-come-to-visit label going strong.

Just a quickie today as we’re on the road, so enjoy these photos from a chilly day earlier this year on the southwestern coast of the Algarve.

The sea was pretty angry on this particular day, much more so than our previous visit. Clouds and wind and chilliness were the traits of the day, but that didn’t prevent us from climbing down and strolling around on the beach!

There’s always something beautiful to admire around here, and it never really gets old for us.

That doesn’t mean we weren’t freezing, though!

They’re happy, I swear! Haha.

These lovebirds, at it again. :)

The shot below of the waves crashing should give you an idea of how far up those ledges are. See the little people dots? Not as high as some other places in the Algarve, but anything is crazy in this kind of weather.

Had to take this shot of our rental car. I love wagons. Also, quite a nice setting. Hey, Opel: Where’s my check?! =P

One final shot of this beautiful place for ya.

And that’s a wrap! Great times – as always – with my folks. It’s nice to be able to show them some of our favorite spots in the Algarve and the surrounding area. And, naturally, we love it when they come visit. Maybe a bit of better luck with the weather would be nice, though.

Be sure to check out our other Portugal posts right here. You can specifically check out more about Praia do Amado on a nicer day in this previous post.

A very special and very big thanks to all the fine folks in Praia do Amado and the Algarve, and to my folks for coming to visit!
