It seems we just can’t stop posting about Portugal. It’s never going to end! That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though – we have just had a really long run of Portugal due to our frequent visits this year. And, before the weather got warm and sunny, we headed to another beach in the Algarve called Praia da Manta Rota.
This particular beach is much farther east – and closer to Seville – than we normally frequent, but it was a nice taste of totally different landscapes than what we usually see in the more rocky and cliff-laden west.
Our German friends were here visiting, and they wanted to see a bit of Portugal. So, we jumped in a rental car and headed west for 1.5 hours or so to brave the angry spring weather and walk around in the glorious, smooth sands of Praia da Manta Rota.
The weather was clearly not in our favor, but at least it wasn’t raining!
Ang found these starfish who lost their lives to the great tides of the ocean.
And we found these people, who fortunately did not.
And that’s really about it! Just a stroll among the sand and sea, and random things with which we shared the beach. While Praia da Manta Rota is beautiful, I recommend you go when the weather is a bit better.
Alas, it totally could have been sunny with shorts weather on this day, as the spring can be totally unpredictable down here. Either way, it was enjoyed!
Be sure to check out our other Portugal posts right here.
A very special and very big thanks to all the fine folks in Praia da Manta Rota and the Algarve, and to our friends for coming to visit!
