We spent quite a lot of time hanging out in Louisville, Kentucky, this year. Mostly just chillin’ and whatever as we really dig the city and all it has to offer.
Below are some shots from what we did – mostly eat and drink because nobody wants to see us sitting around! – and you can check part one of these posts right here.
Our first stop on this particular trip to Louisville was to hit up Feast BBQ for some goodies. Shouts to Andrew here in the photo!
Back to Akasha Brewing Co. to duck the rain after food and say what’s up to the staff. (And drink beer, naturally.)
Saw basically my dream truck…
Went to Gravely Brewing Co. for the first time. Really enjoyed their brews and the permanent food truck. Not to mention the incredibly well-designed space. Thanks to Ashley and Myles!
Headed back over to Against the Grain Brewery at Slugger Field to eat and drink before heading to a Louisville City FC soccer match!
Wooooo!
Pretty tasty breakfast at Toast on Market.
Don’t forget to eat at Royals Hot Chicken when you’re in town. Always a must!
It’d been a while since we had hung out at Goodwood Brewing Co. So, naturally, we had to swing through to drink some of their fine liquids, talk shit with everyone, and watch some dope, live bluegrass music. Big thank yous to Kylie and Alanna!
Another spot we like to hit in Louisville is Great Flood Brewing Co. There was a partial Stone Brewing Co. tap takeover, so we got to holler at two different sets of goodness on this particular day. High fives to Alex, Owen, Annie, and Mike!
And, yes, more breweries! Hollered once again at our buds from Mile Wide Beer Co. *waves* Thanks Jason, Casey, Aaron, and the gang! These guys, haha.
Stopped by Chik’n & Mi on Brownsboro Road for some Asian fried chicken and ramen. This place is sooooo gooooood. I highly recommend you swing through.
And, if you’ve got a taste for Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, don’t miss out on The Grape Leaf. We stopped by here one day for lunch with our pal, Lisa.
I went to get my hair cut one morning at Derby City Chop Shop and ran into this insane line outside. At a barber shop! Felt like I was waiting for concert tickets or a beer release. Was it worth it, though? Absolutely. Thanks, Evan!
More beer? More beer! We checked out Apocalypse Brew Works for the first time. Their tap room is super-small, but they have a great outdoor space that lends itself to all kinds of shenanigans. Huge thanks to Leah, Laura, and Denise!
Also, BBQ by 502 Cafe!
One day, we headed across the river to Indiana to check out some brews there and see some car racing. First stop, New Albanian Brewing Co. Solid beer, and the food was crazy good. Thanks to Sarah and Nick for the hospitality!
After getting our fill at New Albanian, we headed off to Sportsdrome Speedway to watch some figure 8 racing. This is always a trip! We highly recommend you check out a local racetrack wherever you are for some good times.
Louis vibes…

A very special thanks to everyone at all of these establishments for their delicious concoctions and hospitality. Louisville is always a great time!
